We are looking for 5 new Parish Councillors—could it be you?  

LOCAL ISSUES NEED LOCAL PEOPLE TO SPEAK UP FOR THEM

YOU could help keep Bersted a vibrant, happy place to live by

becoming a Parish Councillor 

YOU need to be able to give up a minimum two of evenings a month to attend the Full Council meeting, and one committee meeting and support Council events as required, and in return you will receive the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping your local community.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and a British subject or a

citizen of the Commonwealth or European Union and must satisfy at

least one of the following:

· be a local government elector for the Parish of Bersted

·  have, during the whole of the previous 12 months, occupied land

    or other property in the parish, either as owner or tenant

·  have, during the whole of the previous 12 months, had you principal or only place of work in the parish

     · have resided in the parish during the whole of the previous 12 months

The Parish Council meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.00pm at Bersted Jubilee Hall, Chalcraft Lane, Bersted PO21 5TU.

 

The new Councillor will hold office until the next local elections in May 2027.  Any person interested in becoming a Parish Councillor should apply, briefly in writing, to the Clerk, Mrs Debbie Holcombe phone on 01243 842221 or by email on clerk@bersted-pc.gov.uk
